I was soured on the Land Cruisers because a college housemate had one and it was CONSTANTLY breaking down. It might as well have been a Jag for all the time he spent repairing it vs. being able to drive it....I love LCs. If memory serves, and it may not, that's an FJ45 Troop Carrier (Troopy). Basically a long wheel base FJ40. Looks like 1981+. They didn't get the distribution here in the states that the 40 got.

My FIL had one of these in his garage - undriven - for years. It was his mother's who bought it new when she was in her 70s. It had only 10k on it and no one knows why she bought it or why he didn't sell it. I drove a '74 Valiant in high school, also (beige, though). It died with just over 60K miles on it. It was even pre-dented on the driver's side front quarter panel.
