i love the plymouth barracuda best car ever made
Loved the 'Cuda. Unfortunately, my father was very short sighted and got rid of it and my other sister's '57 Chevy when they ( the cars, not the sisters ) got to be too much to maintain.
I ended up driving these in high school. Not quite as cool.
How about the E body 'cuda, of the trans/am variety?

About 5 years ago, a pristine Cuda, white with the black stripe, was for sale in my neighborhood. I took a pic of it and sent it to my brother.
Our sisters car hadn't been in the family for 40 years but me and my brother talked about that car for a solid hour after I sent the pic.
The AAR Cuda was a cool car. 340 engine with a six pack, that car was modeled after the car that Dan Gurney races in the Trans-Am series.
Back In HS we refered to the Capri's with the V6 option as a poor man's Beamer.

I was soured on the Land Cruisers because a college housemate had one and it was CONSTANTLY breaking down. It might as well have been a Jag for all the time he spent repairing it vs. being able to drive it....

My FIL had one of these in his garage - undriven - for years. It was his mother's who bought it new when she was in her 70s. It had only 10k on it and no one knows why she bought it or why he didn't sell it. My MIL finally sold it after he died.
I drove a '74 Valiant in high school, also (beige, though). It died with just over 60K miles on it. It was even pre-dented on the driver's side front quarter panel.
For the "iconic" part I guess I need to go with the 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge
...but tbh my "favorite" car from approximately the same time period (technically the next decade, so I can haz both!) is the 1972 Volvo P1800ES
