My old boss had an 01 trans-am that he flung into a fire hydrant. Last time I was at his place he had the front clip of a donor car sitting next to his wrecked and dismantled car
You could get an LT-1 and a T56 6 speed in those cars, too.
There were a few years of the third generation Camaro that was available with the "Iron Duke" 2.5 liter 4 cylinder..... the same engine found in the Fiero and Chevy Celebrity.
As much of a Camaro fan that I am...... I prefer to skip past those years.
And, it still looks as fresh as ever. Take that, US auto manufacturers!
I first saw it was at the New York World's Fair in the mid '60s, and I even won a 1/18 scale model of it, there.
The last time I saw one was a few years ago, at the Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum.
OK ok, I misspoke. Still, the most horrendous car can serve as the foundation for something fun.

I drove it through 2 winters between Pulaski and Watertown, NY.
I'm sure it had a quarter million miles on it.
All the paint had been sandblasted off of it. I remember it as
baby-poop green.

I'm partial to the coupe. Not a fan of the interior, with the giant center console. Maybe a convertible would make the console less intrusive.

When the Viper was introduced to market it had no AC system, not sure if it was something Dodge felt wasn't necessary in such a car, but at one point it was realized that an HVAC system really was a good thing to have in the car. A friend of mine was assigned the task of designing the HVAC for the Viper. After a short bit of time my friend requested a Viper for a couple of weeks so he could actually have the car available at all times for him to be able to fits the bits and pieces inside the engine compartment. He got it to work great and had a blast with the car during its stay with him.
Bit of trivia, I used to work for the guy who owns this car. He has an amazing collection of similar cars - pre-WW2 Bugattis, etc.

If I was in the market for a sedan today, the Nissan Maxima would get my money. I've always loved Maximas... and the current generation is the coolest I've seen... such great lines.
