A singer in a band I was in while living in Cinci had one. Not a lot of power but it was a blast to drive as it did handle well, as I recall. Plus it's sort of a mini targa version of a 308GT4.

Porsche 911 body style . What is Iconic is that Porsche has been using the same basic 911 body shape for over 50 years now.

Lots of other car companies in the world besides the Struggling Big 3 -- there's actually several in Europe and Asia... and they're all pushing ahead with doing away with the combustion engine and embracing electric vehicles.

This isn't really accurate. GM has discontinued the Volt after balking at doing a needed remodel. They were spending all kind of money on their electric. That hasn't been popular with shareholders, even as a way to claim relevance in that segment.

How many electric Focuses have you seen, in person or ads? That should tell you something about Ford's enthusiasm for selling electric cars.

Porsche 914. I owned one of these back in the 80's. Some people tried to spoil my fun by saying it is just a glorified VW. Perhaps, but I guess you can say that about most Porsche's back then.

Hate when they say that about some Porsches. A really stupid thing to say masquerading as something smart. I always wanted to put a proper Porsche motor and modernize the suspension in one of these back in the day. Never got around to it while these were cheap (and they used to be).

I like modern muscle cars. I'm used to power windows, air conditioning etc. In the spring I'm going to buy another RT. A Challenger this time. I've driven the Hellcats, and that's overkill. 485 horsepower is enough.

There certainly is a need for electric vehicles in the city and burbs. Perfect for commuters.

I think it's a mistake to assume internal combustion engines will go away, though. I can see plenty of demand for them many decades into the future. At some point, ethanol will become a lot cheaper to produce and largely renewable, as well as carbon neutral, so gasoline will become mostly obsolete.

The slant nose 911 was a factory option, along with additional horsepower. Who knows how many of them are genuine.

My old boss had an 01 trans-am that he flung into a fire hydrant. Last time I was at his place he had the front clip of a donor car sitting next to his wrecked and dismantled car
