Pickguard for a sunburst bass?

Parchment is another option that's less stark than plain white.

Yeah, my new Highway One P Bass came with sunburst/parchment/rosewood - and IMO, it definitely looks better than white... That said, my plan is to get a tort PG, and swap it back and forth with the black PG on my natural '76 P, as the mood strikes me... I do the same thing with my pair of Jazz basses - one's white/rosewood, the other's black/maple - I have PGs for them in tort, white pearl, white, and abalone... currently, the black/maple is wearing tort, the white/rosewood is wearing abalone - it seems to suit them...

I have a red tort pg on my 3ts Jaguar. That looks nice... Somewhat traditional, but a little different.

I sometimes think about changing it for a cream or white pearloid pg, though. I think that would really make it pop.

Tort or black looks the best on burst IMO.

Agreed. I relaly liked the look I got when I put a black pG on my SX Ursa1:
