I swing either way, but if you must have a PG then IMO it has to be tort.

I haven't counted but it looks like a 50-50 split decision. That's good, it should be yours to make even though the thread has gone 4 pages so far. (I would vote no tort PG myself on that bass, I like the field of black with double Ps) I like the pearloid white against black sparkle on my Paranormal.

Depends on what kind of tone you like. Classic or Modern.

Anything, including nothing, is better than tort. No pickguard.

I am also no fan of tort.

A black pearl would look nice on that bass but that wasn't offered as an option. So I'll return to browsing elsewhere on TB.

I am very pro pickguard.
I just like the contrast with the finish. And I'm not anti tort...but.
On a black bass, not so much. Maybe pearlescent white?

I'm not a tort fan, but I lean towards PG. Something to break up the black some.

If it was mine, I'd probably custom make a brushed gold PG that would also go under the lknobs and jack similar to a Precision pickgaurd

I like this idea. I like the tort also, though.

I like tort on black, so I would vote pickguard. But, you'd need to clean up the cut/edges around the controls.

That particular pick guard looks like an afterthought because of the awkward way it meets the knobs. If a bass came so equipped, I would promptly remove it.
