Pickguard or no pickguard?

I came in here to say "PICKGUARD!" and I changed my mind after seeing that picture....

Anything, including nothing, is better than tort. No pickguard.

Not that you should make important decisions like this by committee, but I vote PG. Some people hate them but I don’t.
I'm not a tort fan, but I lean towards PG. Something to break up the black some.
If it was mine, I'd probably custom make a brushed gold PG that would also go under the lknobs and jack similar to a Precision pickgaurd

pickguard on that one for sure , it looks kinda cheap without it , imo ...
Both look rad, but I vote for no pickguard but with creme p/u covers.
I normally prefer the looks of a bass with a pickguard, but I have to make an exception with yours - I definitely think it looks best with NO pickguard.
I like pick guards and I like tort* but that body isn't top routed and that pick guard doesn't extend down to the controls, which looks weird on a P-bass so I'm voting no pick guard.
If there was a metal control plate that matched the cutout in the pick guard I might think otherwise, but there isn't so I don't.
*Not exclusively, but in the right context tort is nice. I'm not one of those Cult of Tort dudes....

I can’t stand basses without pickguards, but that particular pickguard is so ugly I’d go without it
