This is probably a dumb question but one I've wanted clarification on for a while. With any two pickup passive Fender I've had, if one pickup is on full volume, the other pickup volume acts as a switch. On or off.
On my passive PJ, if the P is up all the way, the jazz volume can only be full on or full off. If the P, is on 90%, then I can blend. And vice versa with the J all the way up. This is how it is on my 2002 beat up Fender PJ and it was the same on an American Standard jazz I had, an MIM, and an MIJ.
Is this how it's supposed to be? Is this something that can be improved by upgraded electronics?
