Not yet. I'll probably wait until Fred Hammon has the five string Dark Stars ready before I build one of those. That'll be something you don't see everyday.

They most certainly did. I'll be glad to build you one just like it for a not so rediculous deal. I'm supposed to be building a five string for the seller now that it's sold.

It's an Aguilar OBP-3 with an active/passive switch, a mid-frequency selector switch and separate series/single coil/parallel switches for each pickup. I've been soldering all afternoon , but it works!

WOW Bud another fantastic job. I've been rather busy these days. I have some fill-in gigs this month. I played my VB5 on all but 1 audition and it was amazing. The compliments I got were inspiring. Everybody that I talked to loved my VB5. Hes gonna love his VB5. Absolutely Beautiful!! Rock On!!

Ya know, I've been raggin' on Bud to use some gold hardware for a while now, so I was particularly looking forward to seeing this build. I was very impressed with this one (as I am with them all). But this one is verrry classy, imho

Thanks, Wils. I took the polyester leap about six or seven basses back. I use a Devilbiss JGA spray gun.

The pine bass No. 2 just has solvent wiped on it for the photos.

I've been working on this one for a long time. I finally finished it. No hurry, it's not a customer bass. It's an ST SS-5 with a poplar body, bloodwood top with osage orange stripes, five piece maple neck, maple fingerboard with wenge binding. All Bart electronics. This bass sounds killer. I love poplar!

Edit: I forgot to mention, I'm thinking about nicknaming this bass "Hot Dog" 'cause it looks like ketchup and mustard exploded all over it.
