OUTSTANDING!

two thumbs up! (I'd give you three if I had them)...

I just love how you morphed a little of the EB vibe with the PG into your soon-to-be-classic body shape. And that fretboard is extremely tasty.

Great work, Bud. One of these days, I may have you build me a double soapbar 4 banger. But I'll have to do something really special to convince the wife first :)

I saw it hanging in Buds shop Sunday when I went to pick up my bass from him. - it looks fantastic!

Lefty strung righty...that's like Jimmy Haslip, is it harder to slap like that?
Yes just like Jimmy! I basically use index and middle finger to " thump" and the thumb to " pop"! It is limiting but I get by rather well so far. Lots I cant do because of it but there are some things I can do that righties cant. I have seen a guy play his butt off with just his thumb. It was inspiring.

Hey bud I was wondering, do you make wood pickup covers and wood pickguards?? If so what's the price range on something like that?? Thanks, Nik.
By the way I still want a bass by you, I just can't decide which body style to get.At least I know I want a 5er :D .

Sure I do. Pricing depends on the wood used and maybe a couple of other factors. PM sent.

Hey, Budman.

It's really inspiring to look at what you've created in this thread, as I've been thinking about becoming a bass guitar luthier myself. Although I'm only a Junior in highschool, I'm really trying to consider what I want to do for the rest of my life. I've been looking at Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery in Arizona (it has a 5 month course) but I also think that it's important to get a college degree (probably in music). College is almost required of you in today's society...Anyway, just wanted to say that you've been a great inspiration, and keep up the great work! Also, if you have any tips, just leave a comment on my thread! (bass building 101) ;)
