Great to see that someone else has found Carey's MM4.4 p/u :hyper: These things are the bomb in my book. :hyper: I am considering that my standard 4-string p/u configuration will be one of two options:

1) Nordstrand NP-4 / MM4.4

2) Nordstrand NJ4SE / MM4.4

Definitely drop a follow-up when you get to hear that monster running.

All the best,

R

I've got a pair of 5 string STSS's that'll be hitting the streets in about a month...hopefully.

Thanks. Fretless Six is going to love that Nordstrand MM4.4 in his ST. I was goofing around with some jazz chords the other night on that STSS and all the notes where ringing crystal clear, even on the E string. The chords sounded beautiful. Not muddy at all. I've never heard chords on a four string sound this good. Hat's off to Carey.

Not too shabby! Now see if you can get Teh Fleazorz to cough up the money so I can build it.

LOL! After the 1500 I just spent on my 6 string, I'll have to save up for a while to get one, but don't worry, I will get one, probably a 4 string or another 6 string, I just have to save up another 2000 or so ^^ However, if I suddenly win the lottery or something, I'd buy the internet special 4 string, and a 6 string, then I would be content.

I change my mind on what design I would get everyday, they're just too good!

Not sure what to make of this. I like it, but sometimes I wonder. I hadn't done a burst in over 15 years and never a blond/black burst. It'll probably look good with black hardware.

And that's the Lo End Punch VBX in the background. Here it is with the first coats of clear.

Hey Bud, I was wondering if you had any pics of "mineral stained poplar" I was looking through your quote sheet and saw it there. I just wanna see what It looks like. Thanks in advance,Nik.

This is just one example. It can be quite varied. I've seen it with streaks that are dark purple, almost black. It's kind of a greenish wood that turns brown with a finish on it.
