Caught Pino a while back in Bournemouth with the most excellent Robbie McIntosh (ex MCartney, Pretenders) Band. He was playing a salmon Precision with a single Eden 410 xlt and a World Tour Head - I got one as soon as I came back to Florida but still don't sound like him! There are 2 albums by the band - interesting stuff and great playing by all. My old mate Paul is on drums.

Sorry, it's the only German I know but I think you are right. He has also done stuff for Tears for Fears and loads of others.

Last year, among other things, he played guitar on a country album by Jon Dean Foster (the old singer of my ex-band in the UK - "Max Temp and the Fahrenheits"). You can find that at www.smltd.net.

has Palladino ever played a Chapman Stick on recordings?

I ask because in the latest edition of the UK's Bass Guitar Magazine they've got a special on Stick playing, and a "I had no idea that was a stick!" list of stick recordings, and it lists Pino Palladino on Paul Young's "No parlez".

it also lists Tom Hamilton as playing a stick on Aerosmith's "Nine lives" album, but i couldn't find any mention of this in interviews- only that he played a Yamaha 5string with a mallet on "taste of india".
I hope BGM isn't posting incorrect information as freely as Bassist used to.....

I've been listening to Paul Rogers "Muddy Water Blues" album. Pino makes that album a standout with an upfront, effected fretless tone that just kills. JD

I just got this album by Paul Rogers. The basstone is great! Alot of octaver and pahser?! I think it is great.
