PJ Club

sure,,

iirc the MIKRO has a 28.5 ( i believe ) scale length

there are string manufacturers that make that length, but you're stuck with the gauges they dictate

there is a plethora of 34" scale strings on the market, rounds, flats, ect, ect, in ANY gauge

i choose to run those

Not to deviate from the PJ club much but can you esplain the string wrap around the body?

Hey guys just in the process of selling one of my PJs with the intent of adding a J to an existing P bass. I don't want to move the jack to the side of the bass or route further forward. I'm thinking of going blend/tone no volume. I saw a couple guys did that, can you share your thoughts? I've mostly been a jazz bass guy and the PJ I have is wired VVT so I'm pretty comfortable with that layout.

Yes that is an option as is a 3 way switch. As I said I have mostly been a jazz player with VVT, I've only used the volumes for pickup balance and I never turn the volume off unless I'm soling a pickup. I use a tuner inline during gigs and also have a mute switch on my amp.

With the audio taper pots it's not easy to balance a PJ set with VVT so I thought a blend may be a better option.???

I've not tried wiring mine up V B T but I have had it V T 3 way switch, and it's currently V V T. From what I've read around here the blend option is the least appealing (do some searching you'll find some explanations). I'd suggest going with a 3 way switch or stacked pots. You could even go V V T T if stacked.
