WOW...what the hell is that?
That's the Fender Steve Franklin bass. They come with a pre-wrinkled pickguard film.

Anyone else wanting a number just say the word!
In my reign as admin there will be but two rules to comply with in order to become a member:
All members are members for life unless they ask to be removed.
- You must post a picture of your bass with a PJ pickup configuration, any body style is acceptable.
- You must ask for a number in the post (no need to send me a private message). If you post a pic but don't ask for a number, I'll assume you don't want one.

Think so? I know the geezers are mid heavy, I remember the DiMarzios as being more modern and thick.I had a Nordstrand NPJ4 set that was not too crispy. Of those you mentioned I would probably go with the Duncans to fit the bill. I think the DiMarzio's and the Geezers are made to sizzle.
Well I just traded for a bass with a Geezer and it definitely has more highs than the NP4... I'll admit a little ignorance with the DiMarzio pickups, I just assumed that they are heralded for modern tone which I associate with HiFi treble.Think so? I know the geezers are mid heavy, I remember the DiMarzios as being more modern and thick.
WOW...what the hell is that?
I will remove it tomorrowJust the pick guard plastic film. I'm sure @PeaveyPlayer will remove it.
You will remove it, right?
I have a Schecter Nikki Sixx Sig and it sounds like crap. It's extremely bright and thin. It had EMG X and I got rid of those. I've tried a few different pups and currently it has 80s big pole jazz bass special pups. It's better but still too bright and lacking bass. It's a really nice basd
I've messed with the height and I use rotosound 66. Bright yes but it's the string I use for all my basses.Maybe lower the pickup heights? Also, what kind of strings are you using?

Hi Eric, sorry to see you go. Of the short time I have been here you have run a great club. Hopefully someone dedicated will take over and keep it going. I am not volunteering, I am a newbie to TB and still learning the ropes. But am sure there is a qualified person willing to do it to keep the exchange of PJ information, ideas, and pictures flowing.Attention fellow PJ loyalists,
It's been an honor to be the PJ Club List Administrator but alas, I must resign and pass the baton to the next leader of this small but mighty club.
I do not have a nomination for my replacement, the spot is now open to the first willing individual.
Below is the complete member list and rules as I have maintained and defined them during my tenure.
Please carry on with the posting of pics and exchange of ideas.
Thanks!
Eric
Can I join? It's a 'jazz bass' but with PJ pickups.

@G On Bass has offered to take over as the head of the club… He is a standup guy and a great TBer.
Be kind to him!
@Gorn deserves the credit for starting this and I believe there were others responsible for running it before I stepped in. Thank you though for the kind words! Thanks for starting and running this thread! We'll do our best to keep it going!
