PJB Bighead Pro HA-2 question

Hi there, does anyone know if it is at all possible to use the HA-2 as just an USB interface without having the "live" bass sound mixed into the output?

Basically I'd like to only have the processed bass signal through the DAW coming playing over the headphones.

My guess here is no, but maybe there is a way.

It doesn't have a physical control to set the monitoring to input vs playback so my assumption is that the monitoring is always after the AD. This would do what you want based on your post, but I can't say for certain. The manual doesn't provide much help. If the driver allows you to change the monitoring digitally that would do it. Some interfaces will simply follow the monitoring settings of your DAW, so there's yet another option. I'd be surprised if you couldn't do what you want but you may need to experiment a bit to get it working properly.

Thanks for the reply! Based on your hint I took a look at my Mac's "Audio MIDI Setup" to see if any extra options show up, but other than changing the I/O resolution and bit rates and setting the levels of individual L/R channels it doesn't appear that there's a software based "monitor off" option.

I'll send PJB a note, maybe there's some behind the scenes "hidden" functionality that can be enabled
