Played a Sadowsky Metro Today

Very cool, i didint know they will have sonic blue i heard their going to have lake placid blue. Did you see the trans blue thats very nice too.

BTW, I'd really like to know whether the only difference between a "regular" Sadowsky and a Metro is the country where they are made... Can someone confirm, please ?

2 things that come to mind is the the NYC line has graphite reinforcments and the metro line dosent and the metro line weighs a littel more.

It is the same electronics so other then varience in wood i would say the same.

The MV4 feels good to me... either in 59 burst or natural finish. On the day I can afford one, the dilemma will be huge...

False : I love the classic passive tone.
Considering a Sadowsky is making an evolution towards active bass, but I'll always keep a passive bass, whatever it is.

Sure, but the on-board Sadowsky preamp has some magic, really. Would seem weird to me buying a Sadowsky without the legendary preamp...

I think I'd take a 4, since I am mostly a 4-banger. But having a 5th string is good on the "marketing" side. The only 5er I had was an MM SR5, and the low B was just correct, nothing more. How is the low B on the Metro, if you could try it ?
