I am inclined to say active since most of his basses are, did you check out the vintage 5 in cherry burst that is some bass.

That is correct, MM. I will be interested to see whether or not they have the vintage (passive) tone control, since he has now made them standard on the NYC basses. Can any of you NAMM Metro owners answer this question? Or maybe Roger is monitoring this post.

It's not going to be standard like the NYC basses, but it will be offered as an option through the Metro Dealers from what I remember. That's defintley one of my favorite options as you know, and I wish it was standard on all basses. Hit me back when you get a chance. -MGM

I believe it's $150, but I'm not 100% sure.

I had to add the passive tone option to mine. I think it was $150.
Mine should be here in July.
