Playing my first 6-string gig tonight!

Well, I play several times a week down here as a working musician. Mostly limited to my old 70s Pbass or a Warwick 4 or 5, but tonight I got a wild hair (hare) and decided to borrow my friends Tobias Pro series Korean 6-string from the '90s. Its a beautiful axe with incredible construction. Curly maple body and wenge/maple neckthrough. I'm a bit nervous because I've never owned a 6 let alone done a whole gig with one. Plus she weighs about 12 lbs! (Which is actually not to far off from my Pbass)
Had to go out and buy a nice comfort neoprene strap for her. Has fresh MTD steels on her. Definitely a change of tone from my Pbass with tapewounds I usually use with this band ( www.soulprojectnola.com). Anyway, at least I know the 4plus hour set inside and out and some Jameson will always loosen me up! Thanks for the rant! Btw- I'll be powered by an Aguilar 500SC w/ Power conditioner and roadcase, Epifani NYC 2x10 and my trusty old BOSS OC-2. So 6-string guys, I should basically just play everything on the high C? :ninja:
Cheers!

I spent 15 minutes with a Peavey 6 - string at the weekend, and spending most of my time on Jazz Basses the neck was just soooo wide! I almost got used to it, but then I noticed an American Vintage P so my time on the 6er was over :hmm:

Dunno what I thought of it really

Sorry about the delayed response-gig went well. The high C tripped me up a little bit due to muscle memory on 4s and 5s but it opened up a lot of doors musically. I've been playing it on the last 4 or 5 gigs. Including tonights little throw together trad/blues gig. Practice makes perfect ( or however close I can come to never being perfect).
