if i'm reading music i don't "look" as much...but so what? if you have vision = you get to look!

My violin teacher had this rule that you have to look at your sheets or she’d hit your hand with a ruler. So I learned. Now I can look if I want. She’s probably dead by now anyway.

Get a fretless with no markers.

Or play a line that changes hand position multiple times that forces you to focus on the rhythm.
