Double Bass Please help me choose an EUB!

How would a bass like the Eminence or MK Classic fare living inside an RV, which can get quite hot when traveling through hot climates -- either high humidity or dessert dry?

Is anyone still listening after 18months? Asking for a friend (Don Kasper, actually).

I have a friend whose Eminence has had the sound post fall a few times while it was being shipped (neck removed), until finally he had it glued in place. That's the most I've heard.

There are ways to suspend a long instrument to cushion it from shocks. I'm more curious about how a hollow body EUB can withstand the stresses of rapid/large temperature and humidity variations. I baby the heck out of my double bass with a room humidifier. Just wondering how a small body EUB deals with environmental stress.
