Please help with Band name

I suggest 'The Homes'

As in Sally Whitehouse and The Homes or whatever her name is...

Janet Villahouse and The Homes...

Works!...or The Holmes for extra fun..

This is exactly what I was thinking, but just in the singular: "Amy Winehouse and the Home."

This is a catch all to help me brainstorm band name ideas.

Here is the deal. The singers last name ends in house. The band name will be "Her Name and the ____". We would like it to play off of house. The music is soulful, bluesy, touch of country and rock.

Current ideas being tossed around;
The Threasholds (leading as of now)
The Backyards (jokes aside)
and her Backyard Band. (While it's fun it doesn't fit the music)
The Sidedoor (we already decided against back door for obvious reasons)
The Chimneys
The Realtors
Stupid bigots had to ruin Porch Monkies.... racism sucks on so many levels.
The Screen Doors
The Windows
Her Garage Band


I am looking for feedback on these names or other ideas.

Yardwork - Shattered Dreams - Houses Without Windows - The doors (oops/scratch that) -Leaves Without Trees - the Kidney stones or Liverspots.

Although it's a clever train of thought, actual parts of a house are just not working for me.

The closest was "realtor" which made me think "real estate" which led to just '"estate" and...

Jane House and the Estate

Still not the catchiest name I've thought of, but it's not dumb either, and still plays into "house" as you intended. And you can put a lot of qualifiers in front or behind "Estate," like place names, family names, etc.

Actually, now that I think about it, Jane House and the Back Door is actually quite good, risque, but what isn't these days? I can understand her objections though.

For real? It's not like I'm trying to name the band CheezeWhiz. It would be like calling ourselves the Professors, no?

Surprised me too. But I just googled it, and waynobass is correct. The general term is "real estate broker". A "realtor" is a member of the National Association of Realtors, who have trademarked the word, although that has been subjected to a few legal challenges in recent times.
