I ve just bought 2005 sadowsky metro
Strings are ss with these ball ends color combo l dont remember l ve encountered before. The owner said the strings are daddario nyxl but l dont think so.
Not a big deal really, they are ok nothing special, but l just wonder

Got to add tho, the sound, feel and tension are pretty much nyxl as I remember them, just these ball ends are weird to me because I thought there must be green D ball end..I may be totally wrong...

Yes, those colors are weird indeed!

Gold - Red - Black - Green = D'Addario.
Gold - Red - Silver - Green = Fender (made by D'Addario).

I've never seen that specific color combination before. I wonder if another manufacturer has just started doing it to look like D'A.

Thanx, yes, combo is unseen def.in my experience. They are like some mixture of Dunlops and D'addario..
Maybe someone will resolve the mystery

I remember stringing my bass with a set that had this gunmetal dark grey color on one of the ball ends, but I don't remember what they were. Could have been EBS? If you're in Europe, this is a possibility.
