And by the way they are a really cool band. Though they owe a great deal to Earth, while many Sunn fans haven't even heard of them.

Yeah! Should be interesting.

It's not quite as far-out a collaboration as it might seem, Scott Walker's been doing avante garde type music for a while apparently. But still!

Sorry, just the obvious allusion to the amp brand has already been explained, a few times, in this thread. So it gets wearying. They use primarily old Sunn amps, despite Sunn no longer being a company. The reference is both to the amp brand and the band Earth, who also use those amps (with the obvious connection between the Earth and the Sun, or Sunn, as it's spelled here, etc.). If anything, they've brought attention to the amp brand.

Indeed they do, though Sunn O))) themselves have always been pretty up front about their debt to Earth.
