Very nice Ric. Love the banana cream yellow. For some reason, in my eyes, the only basses that look good in yellow are Rics.

I had one in early
I had one in early '90s. Bought new. Low number. I sold it a few years later. I have absolutely no idea why. I still sometimes cry in bed over that..

Amazing neck, high output Toaster, long headstock, just-right neck width + the vermillion fingerboard and wings kill me it sounds perfect.
I told my gal if I ever tried to sell it she has to leave me and / or kick me in the pants in no particular order - because she is sick of listening to me talk about getting a Chris Squire signature bass someday!

I played a real 60s 4001 as my main bass for 35 years until I went 100% 5 string bass ...
The 4001cs basses are real lookers and the play nice and they have that "Rickenbacker" tone
