Political Compass Test.....Cool!

Wow, what a bunch of "radicals" here.

So, you're all for freedom, except for the freedom to keep your own money? :D The freedom to mooch! The freedom to be free of responsibility! Woohoo!

"You're all individuals!"

"We're all individuals!"

I don't think this test has its screws in tight enough. I didn't even accept the premise of some of those questions, and their wording is sometimes misleading. We're probably helping some professor skew his statistics to support his conclusions for his next publication somehow.

It put me one up and to the left, in the Authoritarian Left section. I would've put me in the Libertarian Right if'n someone would've asked. I don't buy it. The last thing I would've considered myself is a centrist.

Economic Left/Right: -4.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.92

This test sucked. The questions were leading and often badly worded, and the end analysis left a lot to be desired. The whole "left = communist" thing is too ridiculous to be believed.

If I had to guess I'd say that I'm an absolute centrist libertarian, but it really bothers me to see it broken down into two simple axes. Politics is so much more complex than that. It's like trying to describe a stained glass window with dark vs light and hot colors vs cool colors. It can be done, but what's the point?

Oh yeah, arguing on the Internet.
