Political Compass Test.....Cool!

Economic Left/Right: -1.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.85

So slightly of center to the left and slightly more libertarian... Makes sense to me, on some issue i agree with left on some with right and same with other scale, it offsets and puts me close to the middle. Fun test.

While of course this test is flaw, it got me pretty good... I think that's around where i am, I though I'd be slightly more to the center but not by much.

Somewhere between Margaret Thatcher and Milton Friedman. I can live with that.

See, I'm more middle than you think. It's just that, in today's political climate, that makes me seem more conservative than I really am.

The "middle" has skewed way left these days. I believe in traditional values and individual responsibility. I guess that makes me a fascist, nowadays.

Wise dude once said(paraphrased of course):

If you're not liberal by the time you're 20, you're a cold hearted *******.

If you're not conservative by the time you're 40, you have no common sense. :smug:

I tried this the other day and tried to answer every question with my "right wing" hat on to see how far I could get it to go to the right. No matter how hard I tried, the thing just kept coming up with a pop-up saying "you're still not burk". What the hell is that supposed to mean"

:D

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -4.25
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.44

I'm really surprised I'm not a little further down on the vertical axis, but otherwise results are as predicted. I agree that some of the questions were a bit leading, but I didn't feel bad committing to one side or the other on most.

Dang! I thought I was going to come out a lot further to the right with some of my responses. What on Earth do some of you guys who are getting postive scores actually believe in? Scary. :D

Scary? With all the lower left quadrant types here, well, I'm not a trucker but I'm going to have to put a chain on my wallet!

BTW, notice that most of us who scored in the upper right quadrant are very close to the libertarian quadrant. I haven't seen anyone who scored way up in the authoritarian scale.

Personal responsibility, on the "Economic Right" (economic libertarian) spectrum. You're expected to pay your own way, and you aren't forced to help anyone else.

Yes, it's scary to be responsible for yourself and your family. Almost as scary as handing that responsibility over to the politicians and their pet bureaucrats.

As far as the authoritarian spectrum... yeah that is scary to be scoring positive. :D
