I had a friend in high school who would rock a traditional sarong. I grew up in rural Pennsylvania, so that gives you an inkling of how progressive things were. He owned it like a boss, though.

I'm all for uniforms in schools, but I'm against sexism in dress codes. And everything else to be fair. If a skirt is uniform they should be able to wear it. If it isn't, then the girls shouldn't be allowed to wear them either.
