expecting the Seller to go look up more Specs versus Googling it your lazy arsed self ..!! just a Looker anyways
This is a point that a few of us have hit on already, but I think the tone of this pretty much sums up the problem I have with sellers. I google the specs myself usually, but only because I enjoy it. A buyer may be looking at every bass in the classifieds, while a seller only has to know the specs for the one instrument he is selling. I’ll say it again, when you sell a piece of equipment, you are no different then a salesman at guitar center. You better know your product. And you better not cop an attitude with a potential buyer because they may take their business elsewhere. This is why a shop takes a percentage on consignment sales; because they are doing all the work for you. Being a buyer however is not supposed to be work. My advice to anyone that feels that they are somehow being victimized as a seller would simply be to keep your bass and find some other means of making that money.

Not to mention that getting an answer can sometimes require a huge amount of research. If it's a specific run from a specific year by a company, or a discontinued model... Fender has switched up things so many times over the years that posting the actual spec, instead of having the buyer search for it is way better.

definitely posting "Weight?" with no intention of buying. This whole weight thing started with Les Paul players I believe. Now, folks here believe it's mandatory to add the weight to a "for sale" classified, or the Ad is somehow incomplete.
Weight is super important. I'd never buy a bass without knowing its weight. You're going to have to weigh it and update your listing eventually, so why not when you actually take pictures of it for the listing?

edit: I'm also a guitarist, and knowing the weight is important when buying a strat or tele, not just LPs.

money post

Classified ad's that are old, out dated, obsolete but still appear as active. If it's been sold or no longer available list it as so!
TB'ers who don't reply to PM's in a reasonably timely manner or not all all, even though they are still active on here.
+1...When some of you TBers don't respond AT ALL to PMs, that's just not cool and plain ridiculous, especially when your profile page shows when you last visited...But I guess not everyone can be as polite as me..:roflmao:
