I'm sure I will adjust and adapt with continued use. Familiarity breeds content. I just want to be able to purge the noise from the signal. I could care less about achievements and awards; they're just clutter. All I need to keep current on are likes, mentions, and quotes. And "reacted to" makes me think someone got hives from reading one of my posts.

Since some people have already figured out how set-up/use certain aspects/features of the new TB, is it unreasonable to ask to have some stickies added on how to use A, B, or C? Sort of like an online instruction manual?

It is not a banking, trading, machine control sensor monitoring that needs 99.97% uptime and I am not forced to pay for it. I am glad it's back after a short downtime

It's entertainment and information site. The most liked member Richland123 is not even posting in gear, and technique forums. There is a very social aspect to TB that does not talk about gear at all.

Are all the old posts on classifieds just gone now? When I go back to ads I commented on now I see none of the comments that were there before, questions asked and answered etc. also when you go to classifieds now you can’t seem to scroll a category (ie basses for sale, effects for sale, etc). I understand change takes getting used to but so far I’d say it’s overall frustrating 🤷🏼 #justmytwocents

Wow. Seems kind of like an overly dramatic take. Nothing is being “ruined” because people have a different opinion than yours and are vocalizing it. Relax. Feedback is essential for improving anything. The question is asked so feedback, both positive and negative, can be accumulated and utilized to make improvements. It’s not an echo chamber where anyone that doesn’t immediately cheer for all the changes is a “Karen” 🙄 Seems to me the “whiny” TB’rs are the ones that can’t handle criticism on any level. We fully appreciate the hard work being done here. It’s still important to provide honest feedback. Yes it’s a free site but it also has ads so money is being generated for some one. It’s pretty wild how aggressive and territorial some of y’all act on here, should just be a place we can feel comfortable sharing an opinion even if it isn’t aligned with everyone else.

In his defense, there were a lot of posts that were not constructive feedback. Literally an hour after the new site went live, the ‘Hot’ post section was filled with sentiments like “this is the worst” and “your site developers don’t know what they’re doing” … etc.

As users have acclimated, the responses have become more helpful. But for the first 24-hours, it felt kind of ruined by a VERY vocal minority.

To me it's like when they rearrange the aisles at the supermarket. Yeah it's discombobulating at first and grocery shopping takes a little longer as you navigate the aisles to get your new bearings, but within a few trips it becomes old hat again.

New Posts, used to have a Double Bass filter.
I really miss this feature and was my go to every day.
There is so much Bass Guitar material and I dont have time to look through to find the double bass posts.

Not sure if this is exactly what you want, but you can filter your homepage view to only show double bass posts and order by "last post date/descending". This is the mobile view but the desktop page should have the same options.

TB is one of the good things in my day, I appreciate all the work that goes into keeping it running. Smooth roll out overall, a few truss rod tweaks, and we're there, well done!!

The full screen format looks good tried it today. Mobile just takes a bit of familiarization like everything ways does.
