If one takes pleasure in repairing instruments, or in making them, or sewing quilts or raising tropical fish… we do not insist that “time is money,” any more than we do when one relaxes and reads Talkbass entries.

Ulrich was a decent violin luthier. I think he just hated basses in his shop.
After seeing his work here, I'm glad I never used him for any repairs (which I had considered before he passed).

Could have been worse. You could have typed “sewing tropical fish” and “raising quilts”…
