Pork Loin hum

Hi,

I have a Pork Loin that I love, but it's producing a hum when it's plugged in. I have tried different chords, different power supplies verses batteries with having a hum that is like a 60 Hz hum but louder and dirtier than a 60 hum. I get the hum whether it's active or not.

Has any one else had a problem with the Pork Loin?

If no one has had an issue with the pork loin, I'm thinking it's probably a grounding issue. Any one else agree?

I agree. Mine does that at home (as well as all my other pedals), were the electrical system sucks, but I've never experienced hums when I played in places with decent systems.

Mine's quiet as a church mouse. That's one of the reasons it has stayed on my board is that it has very little noise compared to other overdrive pedals.

It also depends on where it is in the chain I have pedals that have to be after or before other pedals or else they will hum try changing the position.

Mine started doing that along with not producing anywhere near as much over-drive for awhile there, got it repaired on warranty.

Did you try with the battery? I didn't think about sucky power.
