i was thinking the same thing, actually, and was about to move this over there.
the thing is though, it depends on how one measures post value. see, in the directly music-related forums, posts are assigned value in two ways - incrementing the post count, which shows the post to be of value to the site itself, and, of course, through the number of views and responses, which shows the post to be of value to one's fellow members.
in OT, only one of those value measurements now applies - the interraction of the community relating to each post. of course, this is the most important measure of value to any discussion forum post, but still, its only one.
moving it to the suggestion box, however, will change this, in that while it might increment the post counts (only for posts made while it is in the new forum, from the time it was moved onward, though - counts for existing posts do not get changed when posts or threads are moved into or out of OT, only if they are deleted), the thread being in the suggestion box does not guarantee the 2nd point of measure, that of being it read and responded to.
