Hey, I like choruses, what can I say? They sound a lot different and sometimes I want it before the delay, and sometimes after, depending on the tone I'm going for. Plus, that Boss was a gift from a good friend who is no longer with us, and it makes me smile and think of him every time I step on it.

And if you want to get technical, I have three choruses on there. The ModFactor has some fantastic chorus sounds in it.

Well yeah i assumed you used them for different sounds (the boss and analogman being different beasts), but most people seem to just make a decision and have one :p

well FINALLY got around to A) finishing off the second home/noise board and B) finally got around to taking pictures,...

noise board

Vintage Fuzz Master ->PS3->noise box->Turbo Rat->Mastotron->SB7->BF3->DL8

mainly used to muck around with dirt and to create noise peices,...

band board

pitch black->PD7 (OD mode) -> LS2 (set to a/b mix mode with hyperion in loop a and either clean or PD7 in loop b) -> WD7 ->CEB3 -> carbon copy,...

for the most part I run this clean through genz benz 6.0 with a mid boost to differentiate between our black metal drummer and thrash metal style guitarist... most songs I like clean with OD turned on to fill out solo/bridge parts when guitarist is doing his thing, the clean blend/hyperion comes into one song for a wall of sound with definition for a Drop D song and the rest I use intermittently to add spice as I see fit (Wah mainly used for a quick solo spot in a song I made that is akin to cliff burtons anesthesia in its own warped way, entertains the crowd whilst my guitarist tunes :bassist: )


edit: I need to get rid of some pedals, I have too much dirt, hidden off the boards are TZ-2, cherry pop, aenima, V8 fuzz, etc etc... keep forgetting how much I have till I look at my collection eek!

Yeah I'm aware of this method. I just think it's a little crazy that you have to do that. BTW, try using the studio eq for a gain stage before the filter. If you leave it flat, the level control acts as a straight volume.

+1 on finding other crazy stuff you didn't expect. I always like ring mod but this one is controllable in ways I haven't seen before.

Here is my latest incarnation. I am really digging the Pork Loin.

Signal path goes bass -> tuner -> Univox Micro Fazer -> Washburn Bass EQ -> Jackhammer -> Pork Loin -> Bass Big Muff -> DOD Bass Chorus -> BDI21 -> Alesis Volume pedal -> amp.

I did have a Bad Monkey in place of the Jackhammer, but I found I like the Jackhammer better for the songs i need a OD.
