If I remember correctly, it WAS a Kingston, or maybe a Conrad. There was a fairly mint two pickup version on Ebay; look under Thunderbird. It hangs in my shop now. Eventually I want to put it back together, for sentimental reasons. It pretty much sounded like crap, even before I set it on fire.

The shag, vintage panelling, could have carried it all by themselves, but the TV tuner knobs totally clinched it!

I have since fixed the...um...wound with a carbon fiber and resin patch. Unfortunately I do not currently have a picture of the patch job. Also, I now have it stringed DA and play it with a slide a-la Morphine.

My beat to heck benavente. Some old prototype that I got on the cheap. I have yet to put it together do to lack of funds for tuners and strings, but it looks awesome.

I have some basslines that I will be putting in and I will be running it straight to a killswitch then to a jack. Nice and simple.

Here's my defretted, oil-stained, chipped fingerboard, rusty and dusty Arbor Steinberger clone... fugly and I love it.

BTW, when I say oil-stained, I mean as in motor oil stained... hell if I know how it got there, but its there.

1964 Hagstrom Funkenstein Futurama. Just finished her up... on a budget. New set of tuners, GFS lipstick in the neck position and an upside-down cheapy strat pickup that I had laying around in the bridge (this way there's no worry of lining up poles/strings). The strat pickup was more or less just out of boredom and curiosity but it actually sounds soo cool in a quirky way.
