I admit it. I am a Craigslist troll. I frequently buy and flip things to support my bass habit. This time of year, scammers are around. This guy... is selling a $49 Crescent bass for $150$. I called him to "negotiate" on the price... showed him the Amazon ad where the sell they bass... WITH AN AMP for $99 and he wouldn't budge... What's even funnier is if you check the Amazon ad, they list the original price of the bass at $299... but the original price of the kit with the bass and amp is $109!!! What have you seen? http://atlanta.craigslist.org/eat/msg/4807880180.html Here's the $49 bass... http://www.amazon.com/Crescent-Elec...&qid=1418812388&sr=8-2&keywords=crescent+bass Here's the starter kit for $99 http://www.amazon.com/Crescent-Elec...&qid=1418812388&sr=8-3&keywords=crescent+bass
he did you a favor, I have seen several of the Crescent basses in person (in pawn shops) and I would not buy them for $49 And I LOVE inexpensive basses.
This guy on kijiji in Saskatchewan (Canada) wants $1000 for a Rickenbacker copy, like the kind that they sell on Aliexpress for $300...its not even one of the "Logical" branded ones that go through set up in Canada (those sell new for around $600-700). This is so clearly NOT a "lawsuit" bass, and even if it was, $1000 would still be overpriced. Clearly this guy is delusional. http://www.kijiji.ca/v-guitar/saska...de/1039988634?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true I laughed so hard when he sent me an email saying his price that I almost fell over!
You must have banged some reason into his head. I just clicked the link and saw he dropped price to $75.
The Chicago craigslist is loaded with stuff where the asking price is the same or higher than new at GC. I think there are just some guys out there that want to think their stuff is worth more than it is.
... and the price is back up to $1000... *NOTE:this is not a real Ric! You have to love his disclaimer...
Sorry, but there's no way you guys can top this "African goat guitar" for 40$ on my local kijiji. This is the most ridiculous "instrument" I have ever seen... http://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.html?adId=1005441271 (pic uploaded for when the ad expires.)
