post your good news here!

lol!

Congrats to all those previous who deserve it!

I have one more day of work this week, then Im off friday to get my marriage license. Then Im going to Vegas for my bachelor party.

3 days of work next week, then a rehearsal & dinner, a free day, and my wedding.

Then a week in Maui.

You getting married in Vegas or just having the bachelor party there?

We got married in Graceland Chapel - no family, no hassle, no stress, no big wedding party....just us and Elvis :) it was absolutely awesome.

I'm getting married in August (her second, my first), band #1 is about finished mixing its fourth record and is booking shows to support it, band number two has gigs lined up into September and is gearing up to record, and I'm essentially getting a big promotion at work, moving from service desk to account management. They're calling it a 'temporary assignment' to back up someone who is going out on maternity leave but I suspect they're calling it that to see if I work out and if I do I'll move permanently. This would mean a substantial increase in pay and responsibility. I can't really complain these days. :hyper:

Just the bachelor party. We're getting marrried at the Sherman Library & Gardens in Corona Del Mar... beautful place. Huge wedding, estimated around $30k, paid for by the brides parents.

My first wedding was in Vegas. $110. Never again.

Lol, we're playing opposites. My first wedding was big and expensive, and I couldn't stand the stress and said "never again". Second was quiet, private and in Vegas. I loved every second of the 15 min ceremony :)
I wish you guys the best of luck, dude!

Thanks man! Luckily Im not paying for any of it. Ive relegated myself to just saying yes or no to this and that. With just over a week away, most everything has been dealt with. The biggest stressor was having to hear from my lady, that her mother was complaining about such and/or other.

Our ceremony is supposed to be 15 to 20 minutes, this whole shindig is really about the reception.

I dont know if anyone here has heard of Pascal, but he's like the resident OC caterer for the upper class (my inlaws like to think they are, even though theyre not). He was on the Real Housewives of Orange Countyy twice during this last season. He's making us some really bomb food!

I won a Telly Award. Not a Emmy Award but it's something.
Congrats, man! Does that mean you get to join this?
