A co-worker of about ten years was in a terrible wreck about three weeks ago. Internal injuries, head trauma, the whole nine. They kept him in a medically induced coma for 10 days. The outlook was grim. 
He just now walked out of my office after a short visit
Andy says he will be back full time at the end of July. He was fully lucid, walking pretty good, and looked damn good (maybe a little pale and down a couple pounds).
Made my day, week and month!!

Only two strings away from an attitude problem.
You can't ever go wrong paying it forward. Props to you for being a stand-up guy.
My good news is twofold - I was asked to play bass in a little local band even though I'm a newbie who's working hard to attain mediocrity. Their invitation said, "you have a the best attitude we've seen in years and you'll build skill by playing and practicing." I'm feeling really blessed since these are all retired musicians who had some notoriety in their day.
Second big good news is that I leave in a week and a half for Vegas and my seat in the WSOP. I'm checking a long-time dream off the bucket list with this entry to the big ladies-only event.
I cleaned out the exhaust hose on my dryer today and hopefully kept the motor from burning out again. And my grandson will be here in an hour or two. That's pretty good news.
The good - My baby boy turned 6 weeks old yesterday, so we can get him in Day Care and my wife can return to work, which will do wonders for our finances.
The bad - Having to put my trust & faith in others for my boy's welfare while the wife and I are slogging away at work, and not being able to go home at lunch every day to spend my lunch out with the little dude.
And he won't stop eyeing my basses...
He even dreams about playing...
Congrats to all those moms & dads-to-be... It's truly an incredible and magical experience.
And Johnny - RE: the ambulance, you totally rock...

Don't know what your work is but if you're meeting all of your deadlines that helps. I do ALL of my photoshops on the company computer. I used to get a little flack for being online until they realized I did twice as much work as the next fastest person. Sorry to toot my horn.

I finally found a pair of Bangka Island blood pythons from Europe. Makes me smile.
Oh yes, I also have cold beer.
My six and a half year old daughter nearly died of kidney failure as a result of e.coli five years ago. Hospital finally given her the all clear. A feeling of elation I have never felt or will ever likely feel again...
