I thought earlier you said that as it you you thought you were going to do something different with it?

Naw. I said I'm pretty sure I'm not going to keep it as is. Quality is a factor in this case. But, I might keep it anyway, I dunno.

I think your confusion (where it's getting "complicated") is that I'm not looking at what I get as what I'm stuck with, and that even with a finished piece, there are still options and choices to be made regarding their state. Instead of a coverup or add-on or something being a last resort or a needed correction, I consider it just another step towards something, that's all.

no, i understand that. i don't view add-ons as a last resort at all, that IS a step towards something else, i do view a cover up as a last resort, cause...its a cover up. :D

i think what i didn't understand was when you said you're pretty sure your not going to keep it as is it, was that you were going to cover it up, which all you can do to cover that up is basically black out the stars. and i also didn't get the testing thing. and i still don't get what the big deal is with finding out how you heal. if you don't heal fast then there's nothing you can do about it anyways. so that just doesn't make sense to me.

As long as you know what you want the end result to be. are you going to try and get that yann guy to actually do your tattoos, or just something in the style of him or something you've seen of his?

He's in Montreal (no longer in France) so probably going to get him to do it. It's either get an original from the man hisself, or a knockoff, and I'd rather go with the former.

Some people just don't take ink well, other have had allergic reactions to the ink, and their body rejects it, and I didn't know if I might be one of those people, for some reason. I also have a minor skin condition, and I wasn't sure how it'd react. Call that paranoid thinking, but that's how I roll.

at least it was free then. if you paid for a "test" then i would have called you a douchebag :D . at least now you know its not a problem...and happy tattooing to you.

I was thinking of getting some back drop around this tat, any suggestions?

DOn't sweat it. 2 of my best friends are tattoo artists and anybody with a decent amount of ink will tell you that most people that are covered have a couple of bod ones or not so great ones. You have the rest of your body. I say make your arm into a nice polynesian sleeve with a lot of black. That would look dope!

Here is an idea

Yeah, I have work from 15 artists or so and while most of it is really nice, I have a few crappy ones ;) Nothing huge though and I've covered one already. Most of the time, people will regret their first, second, or third tattoo once they have like 15 or 20.
