I'll be adding a BIG piece to this thread by the end of Feb.

My favorite artist decided to move to my town for a while and set up shop at my fav. local tattoo place.

I'm getting a bass clef on my left palm on friday!
I had a discussion with my tattoo guy about it cos he said it would fade rather quickly, but I said I would just have it touched up now and again.

Has anyone else had a tattoo on thair palm? Or do you know of anyone who has had this done?

I once saw an interview with Kat von D in which she showed the tattoo on the palm of her hand and she said it wasn't finished because it was too painful..

here's the only picture i have of mine, please excuse my stupid face.

yes that picture was taken shortly after i got it, i drew the design. its the only ink i have now but ive thought out my next one.

ohh its on the front of my shin, not my arm.

Most artists won't do palm tattoos because they'll fall out within a year or two. The skin regenerates very fast and it's hard to make ink stay. Beyond that, it's SUPER painful :bawl:

Well I got it now and it wasn't bad at all. Burned a little towards the end, but that's normal.

I wonder how many times I will have to get it re-done. From what I've heard it may compleatly be gone by the time it has heald. I was talking to a guy who said it took his about five touch ups to look the way it does, and it looked good.

I'll post pics as soon as I have any :bassist:

Figjam I'm definitely digging the circa survive ink.

Here are a few of mine, I don't really have many good pics for some reason

this is before the second dragonfly right after I did the squid, but you can see the top of the bass clef. Eventually it will be a half sleeve
