I haven't posted my pic in a bit so here is my board. It is pretty overhauled compared to my past pic I think. I am pretty much just waiting for my name to come up for the Polish Love, any day now. Then I will have most of the bases covered. Upgrades may always ensue though haha.
Why'd you ditch the screwdriver?
Really? Well, to be fair I don't use much delay, I use it mostly for the oscillating Radiohead Karma Police sounds
I wanted something more muffish I guess. I was looking for a heavier smoother fuzz. The hoof does that. The Screwdriver was nice though, I really liked it, it was super versatile.
I really enjoy mine too. It reacts a lot differently than any other drive pedal I've used in the sense that even the lower gain ODish settings still sound fuzz like.
Nice you have one too? I thought I was the only bass player with a Screwdriver. They are pretty cool. I really liked it while I had it, there have been a few times already I regretted trading it. I may have to get another one some time.
O.K. I've finally given in to the GAS and ordered an Eventide Eclipse so, am stripping down the pedalboard!
Only gonna keep the Compulator, Whammy IV (still my favourite pedal), Strobostomp 2, Aguilar Tonehammer and Ernie Ball volume pedal. All the following are going:
Dunlop 105Q
Eventide Timefactor (.....as I'm getting it's WAY big brother)
BB Bass preamp
Turbo Rat
2 x VB Jr's
Burkey Flatliner
Flight case
All those cables/connections being removed from the signal chain!
. Now just gotta find a small board for the Volume, Compulator, Tonehammer and Strobostomp..................

Actually if I max the dry and set the sub to about 1 o'clock with no octave up it makes both my basses sound PHAT
Warble isn't even really audible unless you have the sub maxed with almost no dry signal. The new phatness really makes my Hema sound Awesome. Yes Awesome with a capital A.I love some of the organ sounds that you can get to

(I like having a maximizer on most of the time, and also like the BBE optical compressor on subtly which would allow me to use the EBS MultiComp for specific purposes and character.)

But that would leave me with a Question mark...
I would forgo the BBE compressor and just get the EBS, but that's just me.
For the ??? pedal, I second the Xotic RC Bass Booster recommendation, an MXR Carbon Copy or Phase 90 would also be nice.
Tuner is always good but I'd prefer the Boss TU-2 or Korg Pitchblack than that one.
I've always found the BBE units to be a band-aid solution, being that it masks a problem rather than curing it. If you are using decent quality, well-designed gear, and your signal chain is clear, you shouldn't need one. IMHO, of course.

Bass-shy - Do you get any noise with your THC? I need to replace my (hissy) Clone Theory, and I've always liked the HBE stuff.
Tuner already in use and possession. Fine for my use.
Gator Pedal Tote with Power already in possession. Fine for my use.
Tuner may actually live on top of NeoPak and operate via the Tuner out on it. That's how I'm used to using it and I may just continue that way.
VT-bass and MultiComp arrived today. DigiBSW arrived yesterday, so those 3 pieces will be put onto the pedalboard tonight and tested out.
Interested and intrigued by the Xotic RC Bass Booster thoughts. I've been looking those over. I don't really see me getting much use out of a Delay, and for my uses the Phaser is a lot like the Chorus in essence as far as I'm concerned. Feel free to educate me as to the benefits of both Chorus and Phaser vs just one or hte other?

No, I don't have any noise or hiss from the THC. There is a slight volume increase when I switch it on, though. IMO, the THC is the fullest, warmest and all-around best chorus tone I have come across.
I seem to remember a couple of people here on TB saying that they had issues with theirs, so it would be wise to check one out before committing yourself to the purchase.
