Post Your Pedal Board XII - Dirty Dozen

mmm nice, how rat work with bass, q-tron and pog?

well, interesting to say the least! :D
I've been happy so far, because my uses for the rat are perfect for what it does. In a 3piece band playing post rockish type stuff it can give me a huge ammount of dirt without necessarily cutting all the booty off, and thats where the POG comes in, it tracks great even after the rat in the chain which was a huge and pleasant surprise!
The rat + q tron is still a beast I'm trying to tame as of yet, it worked great with my 105q after it, giving it a synthy tone, but for now I'm mostly getting noise :D

We need a smiley that's literally rolling on the floor laughing his butt off.

+1.

IT EXISTS!

AMP <= EHX Stereo Electric Mistress <= MXR Carbon Copy <= Dunlop 105Q Bass Crybaby <= MXR Blowtorch <= X2 XDS95 Wireless System <= BASS

OMGNICE. You still have some SPACE on it tho. Rearrange and add more :p

MysticBoo,

Why do you prefer the analog delay before the Electric Mistress? (I mean in the chain.)

I only use them together once, and post-delay ambiance is key for that one use. :)

Believe me, I tried. There's nothing I can add without causing some layout issues. :hmm:

...well, nothing I want to add.

...for now. :ninja:

That doesn't help my Carbon Copy GAS. :(

How do you like yours? Is it awesome?

Please get one. I shook the foundation of my house, and almost knocked three fillings loose with that pedal. How far away is the largest city? I ask, because if you go to a guitar shop in a larger city, which obviously has a larger customer base, you will be able to find one. Madison, WI, evidently, is not a large enough city for an MXR Carbon Copy to stay in stock for more than fifteen minutes.

Apparently I was lucky to get my Carbon Copy. Every time I'm in a music shop around here they never have one in.

Well, to be fair, I went to Chicago last weekend, and to kill some time before my brother came home from work (with, obviously, a means to get in - we had to meet up before a Residents concert), I went to a GC a few blocks from his apartment. Like a bower-bird, I went towards the coolest looking baubles and trinkets - the effects. In addition to a Fulltone display, I saw not one, not two, but seven Carbon Copy boxes - sealed - behind the counter.

hah, such a trip
mind telling us what we're looking at

great ppic tho im so doing that when my pedals get here and i post my board

Gladly.

In order:

Bass (obviously) -> EHX LPB-1 -> EHX Big Muff (named Black Russian) -> EHX BMS (there is a lot of EHX) -> EHX Deluxe Electric Mistress -> Danelectro Psycho Flange -> Danelectro Cool Cat Chorus (18v) -> EHX Stereo Polychorus (named Polly) -> EHX Smallstone (Russian) -> EHX Q-Tron -> EHX Bassballs (Russian) -> CryBaby 105Q -> Fulltone Clyde Deluxe (named, appropriately, Clyde) -> MXR Carbon Copy (get one, I implore you) -> (for now, until I get a Copilot Android) Boss RT-20 -> amp

As for the pic, I used a couple of filters: Sumi-E and Pinch, and then inverted the colors (Apple + I). Photoshop CS3 Extended is a wonderful, wonderful product.
