Focus.... FOCUS!!!! And turn off your flash (the gemini seems quite reflective :eek:)... :p
I just stick my cam on auto focus/no flash to get some surprisingly great pics....
the camera has an auto focus (guess what? it sucks), and all the non-flash pics i took turned out blurry because the camera thought it wasn't getting enough light to focus.
damned if i do, damned if i don't.
how's this? best "no-flash" pic i had.

so being new to all of the... what would you call it? effectiveness of effects on bass? we'll stick with that. anyway, i am now torn with a decision to make...

line 6 lowdown, with 5 amp models, a synth, chorus, compressor, octave, and envelope filter....

or a pedal board and my current amp, consisting of a dunlop bass wah, bass big muff, a micro pog and a nano bass balls with a barge concepts vb-jr....

any suggestions? i'm leaning towards just the pedal board, and this probably isn't the right thread to ask this question, but oh well.

any ideas???

pedal board.
what happens if you get the amp and don't like the chorus? you just end up buying a chorus pedal.

Here's my first entry into all of these threads.... hope to get either a Zvex Wooly Mammoth or a Chunk Brown Dogg to go after the OC-3 soon..... and also some sort of actual board haha

Signal Path:

TU-2--->OC-3--->SubDecay Noise Box--->MoogerFooger MF-101 (With crappy M-Audio Expression controlling cutoff)--->VB Jr. Volume Pedal---> MarkBass CMD 112H

cool man
what kind of expression pedal is that?
edit: and what knob on the moog do you control with it?

Outgrew my old board and wanted something that has space to grow a little. So I cut the boards for my new board today and test fit the pieces together.
Dimension:
36" wide x 16.5 deep
Middle and rear risers are 24" wide
Front is 2" high
Middle riser is 3.5" high
Rear riser is 5" high

I attached metal "ears" onto my pedals and they will be securely screwed down to the board. I used Poplar wood so it is actually fairly light for the size.

Still need to final sand, finish and bolt everything together. Also need to make a few new custom cables and mount the electrical system under the thing.

Signal chain will be:
Ashdown Envelope --> Qton + --> MRX Auto Q --> Nano Bassballs --> Boss GEB-3 EQ --> Boss LMB-3 --> Fulltone Bass Drive --> Boss ODB-3 --> Boss CEB-3 Chorus --> Boss BF-3 Flanger--> MXR Phase 90 --> Boss GEB-3 EQ --> Boss F-500H Volume

Also will be adding:
Qtron Micro that is on loan to a friend
Submarine that is on order
Bass Wah (Probably a Wilson or CryBaby)
EBS Valve Drive
and other things that I decide I need!
