Thank you, now I finally found that company.
I was looking for it for a while.
7 years ago I played through one of their rackmount compressors. It was red.
(EDIT. hmm, I think I might be wrong.
I thought I recognized the logo. Was there ever a Big John rackmount compressor? Or am I confusing the logo with another manufacturer. 
)I couldn't found any info on what company this was the last months.
Now thanks to you I know who to contact.

Yeah, I just figured that that was him.
He's a big name in our national musician's world.
I dont know if he wanted to reveal himself, but it's fairly easy to figure out.
He is someone to respect.
yeah I was using brian's setup as a basis, but as I got my own ideas I gravitated away from the "lightning-bolt" setup, though I still use the pedals he had (though not in the same configuration at all) because I liked the way those pedals sounded

I now want my pedalboard to look like that. Cables going everywhere, pedals not lined up, dusty and awesome. Time to start abusing my pedals.
This is pretty cool. I was just about to buy the smaller, older version of the Big John fuzz a few days ago and now it's on TalkBass! I just wish I had the cash...
