Not really a pedalboard, but here's my effects rig

Computer > Compressor > Sansamp RBI > MXR 10-Band EQ > EHX Bass Big Muff > Boss ODB-3 > Digitech Whammy 4. Simple but effective. Love it!!

very niceee even tho its not a board. i got the overdrive and im looking to buy the big muff. how's the wah/multi-effects red pedal? A friend of mine uses it for guitar, but I have never seen someone use it on bass.

MudderFuzzker - have youn ever tried building cables? i bought enough Canares wire and right angle/straight angle connecters to do the larger board i have on the first page for around $90. it was a couple nights work to do 20-ish cables, but they were all the exact length i needed and i did silly stuff like color code them. kinda fun too.

I know how to make cables, and for what I'm planning the cost will still be over $200. The whole board is going to be run though a big patchbay you see.

Are there requirements for something to be called a legitimate pedal board?

Like:

> can fit into a case

> have holes/slits for cables to hide under

> have a method for attaching pedals (like velcro)

> be painted black

> have a power supply like a Brick

> have at least X number of pedals

> have not more than Y number of pedals

> at least one pedal must be some type of Muff

> must sit on the floor

fAsto - what Karate Kid said. i have a HUGE crush on Bryan Tyler's boards and he used to use the MusicomLab Efx II so i picked one up. it's pure awesome being able to turn a bunch of GOOD single effects into a big multi-effects unit, but it's way more than i need for live stuff right now. i'm digging the smaller one a LOT.

still experimenting with layout, hence the semi-connected state of things, but this is pretty much what it's going to be, i think.

gonna have a few loops coming to this thing from the switchblade, hence the patchbay, and the big white monstrosity (covered power strip) will be moving under the patchbay once the layout is done. gonna have the mp201 connected to the mf, the geiger counter, and both moogs.

heh heh. yeah, i likes me some disto/fuzz/od. check out the rack :

getting to the point where i have the sansamp on all the time - put it in the db680's effects loop, with a FS to engage it, and i might just lose the FS heh.

From your explanation, it appears that you are not using your Boss Noise Sippressor in a loop. I thought they had to be used in a loop. ???

Nah, it works just like any other noise gate if you don't use the loop. It works for me, so I've never bothered with using the loop on it.

Not all those are needed.
Not all of us use BMPs anymore.
PT and Monkey Dream come in colors.
Some people use one-spots and so forth.
You should use any number that achieves your thang.
I sometimes put my board on top of my amp.
There was a company for a while that attached the pedalz vai screws and of zip ties.
PT is one of the only ones where the cable can be hidden.

Well, i wouldnt really call it a pedal board as such, but its not bad for someone who doesnt have a lot of spending money, and has only been playing for nearly 4 years
I know im going to get blasted with criticism for it but this is my main "live" FX board, i have Guitar Rig 2 which i use for recording some stuff every now and then.

the Guv'nor is long gone, traded a while ago, although i now wish i hadn't with my new setup but the multiplexer is still going strong. i love it!

Nothing wrong with that at all, IMO. If it works for you, that's what counts.

Multi pedals are great because they give the user a taste of a variety of effects. Then you can jump to single effects down the road when you get an idea of what you like/use. I started out on very similar pedals... Zoom 506, then a Korg Toneworks AX1B and finally a Digitech BP-8 before moving to single effects... and the pic below is where I am now. I have an addiction. lol

Im affraid that im going to start getting addicted soon too haha, but for now the BP-80 is pretty good, mainly because it gives you so much to mess around with cabinet simulations, and letting you tweak the effects to your own picky demands!

that's called trolling. if someone does that to you, please report the post and let the mods or admins handle it. we do not like when folks do that to anyone, it runs counter to our purpose of creating a website open and welcoming to everyone.
