that is a solid SOLID pedal. it's like the younger pretty grrL that moved on the block and kicked in Jimmy's crack ho's teeth and made her move to that alley down by the rendering plant.
does the lack of a DI bother you? do you prefer mic'ing your cab over running direct?

I DI out of either my Demeter pre or my MB F1 (or a JDI if I'm using the F1 at a gig with good production).
lol.... man... i would NEVER talk about his ACTUAL woman. that's just his pedalboard that's lived a hard life. a hard life of selling her goods. after rubbing it in dirt. and then rubbing the good in dirt AFTER the transaction.

i've always dug having something on my board at the end of the signal chain that had a DI so that i can just take my board and a bass somewhere and get pretty much what i want into a mixing board or a borrowed amp running flat. that why i love the VTD so much. SansAmp is neat.

I don't like the SansAmp DI much...To me it seems to get noisy with my set up.
...and then I couldn't use a chorus very well! Chorus sounds better after SansAmp to me. So that's why I have a Behringer passive DI box.

i'm a perfect urban beast. i've evolved where i can get high off of filtering out the pollutants in the air through dermal contact. organs that were once useless have slowly altered themselves to give me energy and pleasure from the filth that kills others.
..... that and enough LED and UV castoff from lights indoors makes my tummy feel full. saves on the grocery's.
MAN i can't wait till we have uplink systems and hard drive's running software that interfaces with our bioware. be able to record any sound you hear? have a virtual heads up display running information over your vision? have access to all types of music or video data WHEREever you are? sign me UP.
as long as the hardware is NOT designed by Apple, the software is NOT designed by Microsoft OR Apple and it's got a Linux root that is setup well and hard to hack.

we were using a pair of cheap (i... don't think there's any other kind......) Behringer DI's for our synth stuff to the board. until one of them FAILED and we lost our left channel and half the stuff we had during ping pong panning.
went out and bought a real stereo DI right after that.
so.... glad the B******er is working for you, but bring a back up.

I don't own a VTD.
I have the 3-channel PBDDI. In, and out. That's all it's got, and that's all I really need.
and I will admit, Behringer can be hit or miss, mainly because they use cheap components. But I haven't had anything fail me yet, so...I'll keep going.

yeah. i totally understand the hate people have towards B-cheapinger. they DO make some crap.
but certain things are actually a good deal as long as you don't rely on them in live situations IMO. i have a cheapie 4 channel B-crud mixer on my television so i can run mp3's whilst gaming (Need For Speed + Angry IDM = hot FIRE). and it was like $30 and does exactly what i need.
i just wouldn't trust using them in any situation that could make me look bad if they failed.
i don't mind acting a fool, but i don't want to look like one on-stage.

I just have the little 400P box. Only thing I could really see going wrong is me running over the box multiple times with my Fit and then throw it at the brick wall on the outside of my house, and then divide it by zero.

CoD4 is the only thing that makes me break my No Online rule about gaming.
i already spend too much time gaming instead practicing. adding the online component is just DANGEROUS.
LindLeSayer - how long have you had the OS? if a while, still digging it? i always have the same problem with multi-efx boxes... i LOVE them at first. but the bloom wears off very quickly.

Mission Control, August, 2010, ready for travel: The long-awaited VT Bass Deluxe and the MXR Bass Octave Deluxe now appear, with the Boss TU-3 tuner and OC-3 Octave relegated to my small board. Input (1/4") into the volume pedal at the right, output from the top (1/4") and left (XLR) of the VTBD. The Tech 21 pedal is supamonstakilla! It can actually be used to bypass my amp's preamp, and go directly into the power section. You can see that I have already dialed in 6 distinctly different tones for the 6 patch locations, rendering the need to set the knobs at soundcheck moot. The little post-it is my cheat sheet for what those tones are (warm compression, Geddy Lee's 70's tone, "RATM," a 70's-style SVT sound, a scooped-mid slap tone, and monstrous fuzz). The Boss RC-20XL looper is only really used for live karaoke gigs, with Lady Gaga (2 songs) and Journey ("Don't Stop Believin'" intro) keyboard sequences that I've programmed into it. There are still several unused patches, but there will likely be more material to program into them at some point. One will always be kept empty for live looping on the fly, which is the M.O. for NIN's "Closer," when I have an actual keyboard to play on-stage. The entire board is powered by a Dunlop DC Brick, which resides on the underside. I have a bit of velcro on the AC adaptor to make transport a breeze. The whole setup has its' own suitcase, wherein there is enough extra room for extra cables, a power strip, and even my SM58 mic.
