That board IS really nice there phatbass :D

Question tho: Do you run the Goat into the Polish Love or give the Goat some Polish Love? (sry, too hard NOT to pun)

I dont know how much the PL colors the signal, but you might find that you'll get a less "gated" sound out of the Goat if you run the PL into it (assuming that you don't run PL->Goat right now). Another thing I found with going Hema->Goat is that the Blend isn't clouded by the Hema's supersexy coloration.

Hehe! I give MY Goat a Hematoma! (im leaving the how to your imaginations ;))

Sorry to be a little off topic, but do you find the Hema to be mostly smooth or does it have some grittyness?

thanks man!

well i actually don't use them together cos i got a setting for the PL and a setting for the GOAT, and if i turn them both ON, its too loud! so i might try to low down the gain of PL to see what it sounds together with the GOAT.

by the way, its GOAT first to PL, so i guess i gave my POLISH LOVE a GOAT?! :D

Here is mine

bass -> lehle 1@3 true bypass looper -> EHX Miniqtron -> Fulltone Ultimate Octave -> EBS Octabass -> EBS Multidrive -> Dunlop Cry Baby Bass -> EHX BassBalls -> EHX Small Stone -> EHX Wiggler -> EHX Polychorus.

Second lehle looper is for moogerfoogers - lowpass and ring modulator (they sound great but they also terrible noisy and kills the sound when in bypass mode) out of the board are some of my effects which I usually do not use live vestax flanger, old Boss Bass Flanger, T.C. Chorus and Ibanez frying Pan Roland RE201 Space Echo not pictured

Can it do low gain well? I have heard mixed opinions on this. I want to get one as soon as I get the cash:hyper:
Oh hell ya it does low gain well. IME it doesn't get to "gritty" pre noon, and from minimum to around 9 o'clock sounds best low gainwise IMO. It the only gain pedal ive encounterd that I actually dont wanna raise the gain to max. I've got a bunch of samples done. Look for a new thread tomorrow with (mic'd!) clips of my Hema and Goat.

how do you like the ultimate octave on bass?

how do you like the ultimate octave on bass?

I Love it. it is very articulate in lows. You can play riffs on e string and every note stay clear. In power trio You can eliminate guitarist from playing riffs. Just play in the middle register, kick octaver and ad a lot of octave up. Now You have dense, aggressive like a big muff pi but with more edge and no muddy lows huge three octave riff. It also sound great with low pass when You want tu emulate synth.

Sweet board. Good to see someone else who conforms to the "one heavy, one light" gain pedal mantra :)
I really have everything covered with the B:Assmaster and Blue Berry, which is quite nice considering how many dirt boxes I've owned/used/abused over the past couple of years. Although nicely enough I can get light and heavy tones from each of them individually as well. :D
nad - do you hear any difference in tone after taking out the last buffered pedal and replacing it with a true-bypass pedal?
Having a buffered one in there (Echo 600 set to buffered instead of true bypass) helps to retain a little more treble, but with that many in a row already, the difference is subtle at best. It helps that I use active basses I'm sure, my one passive bass that I rarely play (and rarer still through effects) gets its treble obliterated. Of course, I have flats on it so it doesn't much matter. ;)
Really excellent tools there, wee nad.

[cough]mix tape [cough]
Cheers, and ugh, one of these days I'll do that for you, I promise! [/hideously broken record]

Should be sticking to this set up for quite awhile. But might want to swap something out for a chorus.

Ill try to take a clearer picture soon.

Signal goes: Bass-pitchblack-EQ-Comp-Loop(BP, Boost, OC-3, BD+BDI, PPieB, EP+Verb)-Polish OD.

I've got to ask you about the Wiggler, so few bassists have it. Do you use it primarily for the Trem or the Vibe sounds? I'm primarily interested in the Vibe settings. Its pretty obvious what the HAMM, ACEY and WURL settings are, but not the LOOZ. From the demo (which is on guitar), the LOOZ setting seems pretty Uni-vibe-esque. Do you ever use it for that?

Damnit, I can't find it. I'm looking for the person with the board with the 2 small mixer/blender things. I think there might be a Guv'nor on the board too. Anyone know the person/picture I'm looking for? I want to know what the mixer/blender things are. I need to mix 3 outputs from a pedal into 1.
