It's basically just me messing around with the Wah, Vol, and Uni-Vibe. The 2 fuzzes (EM & V-Wah) and Verb are always on. I do have to say that I have been wrong about reverb :o . Just a little goes a long ways, and makes my volume pedal sound better IMO.

I am going to add a Boss TU-2 + a Digitech Whammy between my Bass and NS-2. I'm going to buy another NS specifically for this board to, and I'm planning on putting an MXR Blowtorch before the V-Wah to replace it's fuzz with something that holds the low end but still r@p3s the high end. I'm also going to add a Radial JDI passive DI so that I can record a little better. The recording above was from my RV-5, and I'm nicely supprised at not having a ground loop happen :D

Oh, and for all of you wondering "Why the hell didn't he just expand his other board?": I decided I wanted go in a different direction from my other sound, and get a nice filling solo tone with lots of distortion, wah, and a great heaping of high end! On my other board I've got it so that I can just turn some dials (on the PDDI/CEB-3) and turn the MD-2 on/off to switch between my 2 "band" sounds (bass/guitar). The 2 sounds just perfectly complement each other IMO and I don't want to mess with it any more. Unfortunatly, I had a fair amount of other FX that I wasn't using anymore cus they didn't fit into that formula for what ever reason, mostly blended too much with "guitar" sound. So, I decided to throw them all together and see what happend. The only pedal I didn't use is the Punch Factory compressor cus I haven't bothered to hook it up yet :rolleyes:

Quick Edit: Forgot to mention that the Dime Wah and PW-10 are also always on. I usually leave the Dime CFH rocked back and use it like a switchless wah, and the Uni-V is "off" when rocked back although the PW-10 is on. Also, I've setup Mem#1 as the distortion on with the Uni-Vibe, and manual as the dist off. The back switch on the PW-10 is set to toggle between a mem slot and manual mode.

It's pretty much my "solo" board. My other one is a little more "band friendly" :bassist: For this board I'm just letting GAS run rampant (ewwwww...) just for the hell of it :D

That's some serious fuzz in the intro! And it's sooooo slooooooow! I love it! I may have to check out some more of that stuff. Oh, and just wait till I get the MXR Blowtorch, and there's more bass :D

Ok, I finally got my new toy, a podxt. I fashioned a laptop/pod stand from extra wood that I had. It's made from cab grade plywood and pine trim. I stained it walnut to match my cab and finished it with polyurethane. Check it out:

I've used it live this way once and it works quite well. I use the laptop to setup my effects at stage volume, and then save them to the pod. Then during the show, I used Audacity to record myself (which shows me how much I need to practice!)

Looks cool. One thing I've always wanted to confirm: I assume that you go to a mixing board live. If so, do you re-eq, at the board, for the room? I've always figured that this was the case, cus having to re-eq your setups each time would be a pain!

EDIT: BTW this post puts me on par with my IcedEarthWOM days for this thread! :o :D

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. This is how I connect...

My bass -> Podxt -> Carvin R600 amp input -> to mixing board. My amp has a output that the board connects to. I play 95% at my church, which is the same room everytime.

Also, I don't thrash on stage, so I think the laptop is somewhat safe. What stinks is that I have to run on laptop battery when I'm playing, because I get an annoying hum when it's plugged in.

The order of FX is: Boss TU-2 -> Boss NS-2 (w/ Boss MD-2 in loop) -> Boss CEB-3 (Uni-Boss, Baby) -> SansAmp Para Driver DI

I have a small sample of a mix test I did with the two settings I have with this board. Both are done useing just the P-Style neck PU, with the tone fully on (passive). The bass is also tuned BEAD with D'Addario EXL160-5's

Yep, this is the one that's more "band-friendly". I actually get both the instrument sounds that you hear in the above sample out of this one board. To get the bass sound I set the chorus for slow, but deep, with the filter/effect level at 3 o'clock and it really adds some punch to my PDDI. The PD is set:

treble = 11 o'clock
mid = 2 o'clock
mid shift = 170 Hz (7 o'clock)
bass = 4 o'clock
drive = 1 o'clock
blend = 5 o'clock
I've dubed the tone "evil reggae" cus its a more low middy/less trebbly version of the reggae settings I interpreted from the BDDI manual. The MD-2 is not used.

As for the guitar sound I set the chorus for max FX level, and min rate/depth, with the filter at 9 o'clock, and I put a dummy plug into output B so that only the effect is output from out A. It's called Uni-Boss (shout-out to Joe P!) and the chorus basically becomes a highpass filter. For this sound I do use the MD-2, and the chorus hpf's it. The MD-2 is set with everything maxxed except "bottom"(bass) which is set to min. As for the PD, it's set up to boost a little in the presence range:

            (there's a sweeet spot!)
bass = cus of the filter it doesn't matter
       though I do turn it to 7 o'clock just
