Post Your Pedalboard - Part I

Here is my pedalboard:

First, here is how i planned to do it:

Everything is on scale.

And then, here is how I made it; you may notice I'm a kind of EHX junkie! The Bass Microsynth. will have to wait some more time for me to get the money...

Very nice and neat, clean setup. Pedals look shiny too! As far as I can tell you run from inst.>Amp, I highly recommend a bypass switch or mod your stomps true bypass because as much as I love EHX as well, they are tone suckers, big time. I recently got a Lexicon MPX 110 for its delay and tremelo, I replaced my EHX Worm and Deluxe Memory Man with it and was shocked at the tone I got back. I hadn't realized how much was lost.

i have the seccond output from the behringer chorus going into the first (no paramid) channel on my peavey head and the effects signal going to the seccond channel (paramid)...

generally i use both channels at once, using the amps volume to balance them how i want, usually 55% to effects, 45% clean...soon i may also have another boss HM-2 before the wah but after the Tube Screamer, and just before the wah im going to add a Digitech Synth Bass Wah, then on the clean channel im thinking of adding an octaver

Very nicely, actually. Can get nice and thick, and has some outrageous vibrato sounds in it too! Very nice pedal. A little noisy, but nothing noticeable in a gig situation, but for recording it could be a problem. Then again I am using it with a daisy chain, I'll try it with my Dunlop Brick and see what happens.

Tayste I see you use a lower gain setting... where do u use it for? I have the gain 2 o'clock and I use it for slower groovin' sections where I can go Bwoooing Bwhooing, I really love that thing!

I leave it on all the time to give me SVT style grit in my playing, it just adds a little bit of magic to the sound.

Very very nice, I've only had one practice with it but its a great pedal, I'm not using any of the eq yet as the mxr does that but the drive is great very nice and smooth yet gritty when you need it to be.

TBH as good as it is the pedal that has blown me away the most is the Crowther XLF Blueberry Hotcake (Only one ever made) its an amazing distortion and currently sitting as best I've ever heard the tone its just beautiful.

I need to move the pedals around abit as I found the BSW a bit hard to turn on and off today, but all in all I'm very happy

Unfortunately, never took a pic of the finished board, but you can get the rough idea here. 4"x13"x36" iirc

signal:

MDI-2 -> Hellbabe Wah -> Bass Chorus -> Pod.

The pod is mainly my 'tone', I use the stomps to augment it when needed. From the pod I run the processed out to a splitter - 1 goes to BDI21 (1/4" goes to my QSC poweramp, XLR goes to the house), 2 goes to small 8" Ibanez combo which I use as a monitor.

There's a handle installed on the back (all the cables run through it when on the floor for protection). To the right (pod facing you) are the inputs, to the left are the outputs. Custom powersupply for the Pod and pedals is installed inside and underneath. Oh, not shown either - installed in the corner next to the bdi21.. toggle switch for switching between basses (2) (it's technically the first in the chain).

I skinned the whole thing in some left over black tolex. Also installed the usual corners, etc. Looks pretty sharp.

It does, but it doesn't. You have a wide variety of fx, but you can't use more than 1 stomp at a time (distortions, overdrives), or more than 1 'mod' at a time (choruses, stomp compressors, etc. I typically like using the bass overdrive (Sansamp clone) in the Pod in my normal sound, but this then means I can't use any other distortions. Same goes with the MXR compressor. I rarely use a chorus, but when I need it, I'd have to do an external one.

Like I said in the other post, I use the Pod mainly to find my sound. From there, I use the stomps if needed.

RE: the wah - I think the Pod wah sounds smoother, but the Hellbabe rocks (bought it on a whim, ebay'd my Morley after using it).
