It's been a while, and I've accumulated some more pedals...

If the order is confusing you, it's the following:

Bass --> Boss TU-2 --> Dunlop 105Q --> Boss SYB-5 w/ exp. pedal --> Boss ODB-3 --> EH Bassballs --> Aphex Punch Factory --> amp

Nice board! Have you ever tried the Punch Factory at the other end of the chain? I find that running the PF first, helps to make all the other pedals after it sound a little more "alive" yet keeps everything even. Its a great comp!

Me too, I prefer my Compressor (Aphex PunchFactory or EBS MultiComp) at the end of the chain, after overdrive, distortion and the G5 Synth. It nicelly keeps the levels of my " sometimes over energized" effect performance under control. :)

Yeah, tis a great pedal. I'd have a Bass Xciter in there too had it not been a dud. I need to have a moan to them about that...and them not responding to my emails...
Yeah, tried the compressor at the front, but I prefer it there, keeps my final sound in check so I don't have to fine tune levels on every pedal all the time. Plus, having the DI at the end lets me do a quick easy record getting my effects there too.

How far can you push those SAPBDDI???

i'm thinking of getting me one and to change the drive pot to a higher value in order to get more distortion out of it

The way I have it setup is first channel is my normal sound, there is not much effect just a slight add of gain and makes it sound a bit bigger and fatter. Channel two is the sweetest slight overdrive/tube type of sound that is great to kick on in when you want to me TimmyC from Rage. Channel three is all out over the top overdrive/tube. This can get dirty, it is not everyone's cup of tea but I love it. I don't think this is a distortion sound its more an overdrive/tube type of sound so maybe not what you're looking for but great for me. Now, with the last two channels it makes my Russian Big Muff scream and I can get some awesome fuzz/overdrive sounds (this combo may be more what you are looking for). Think Muse hysteria sound and you are getting close, with some slight Flanging as well I can get a little synthy mwah thing going on which to my ears sounds sweeeeet.

Hope that helped
