+1. didn't like it either.

i guess it's cool for sweeping up or down an octave or two, but that's about it (for me).

I can barely stand the super digital (but not in a good digital synth sort of way) sound. It is very poorly done. That being said, the tracking for single notes is good (with chords it will glitch- interesting for more experimental stuff), it is nice to be able to "sweep" a bit, and it does sound good in conjunction with other pedals to make some excellent noise.

But yeah, overall its a bit of a cringer. A cringer that I'll keep... for now.

Juicier than the BOSS CEB-3 Bass Chorus? It needs to be WAY juicier than the BOSS (like 2-3 times juicier).

Well, how about the Digitech chorus. I think up to 16 voices. I thought it sounded cheesy as hell but it seems to be exactly what you're looking for.

On the cheap, the Digitech or a Rocktron Tsunami Chorus should do what you need. For a steeper price, you could check out an Analogman Clone Chorus w/ Deep Mod or a Homebrew Electronics T.H.C.. I have a T.H.C. that sounds incredible. It's nice and thick. Stock, it gives a little boost to your level and low end. I had mine modified for unity gain by Joel at H.B.E.. They're great people to deal with, too. Good luck.

The digitech sounds like what I want subtle chorus to really thick and rich. The only thing is that I'm not a Digitech guy. I've owned 4 Digitech pedals and after a while, they all failed on me. One of them stopped working only after a day of me owning it. Another started hissing really bad. The other froze (would not turn the effect on or off). I can't remember what happened to the other one, but something happened to it too.

It's a love-it-or-hate-it sound. I for one love it... Also, have you tried running it with OD/distortion? It sounds a *lot* more "natural" that way.

+ 1 on the running the Whammy w/distortion and sounding more natural. However the Octron would smoke it in that manner. I just want a really natural sounding clean octave up. The only way to do that is to go digital, and no pedal exists that is an octave up, clean, fast tracking on single note and chords, and also sounds fairly close to your original tone. And thats not even getting into the ability to whammy/ sweep.

I want a chorus pedal. What is the deepest, thickest, most chorusey chorus? I played the Boss one and the EBS and neither have enough Chorus for me.

there are two boss chorus pedals on the market now.. the ceb-3 and the chorus ensemble (spelling?) but yea, its supposed to be a lot thicker..

How were you running them? battery or power supply? I know the BSW likes nothing less than a full battery; after that it doesn't "effect" the signal, but the light stays on. (at least, this is what it did to me). The only way I could get it to shut off was to take the cable out.

That's the one. I honestly haven't tried it on bass, but it is without a doubt the best sounding chorus I've ever heard on guitar. It is extremely thick and lush sounding. It's worth trying if you get a chance.
