And I'm GAS free... for a little while (except for some decent cables and an expression pedal thats in the mail)

Bass > Machine > Mammoth > Moogerfooger > Trem > Muff'n

The compressor and chorus are floaters right now, but the order and what's on there changes daily.

Right now my only complaint is the moogerfooger's lack of a master volume. I will fix that eventually though... just gotta get enough time to figure out how to put it together properly.

My only other comment is that those ZVEX's really have a huge battery life. I never quite believed that it'd work that well, but I've forgotten to unplug the mammoth a couple times lately. Its amazing.

My new project...

This pedalboard will be built into the lid of an ATA-style briefcase. The board will be raised about up about 3/4" above the inside of the lid to allow for fully-concealed cabling (George L's). Power for the wall-warts will be provided by outlets mounted directly on the board with an IEC plug in the outside of the case (becuase of the various voltage requirements of the EHX units, I can't use a PedalPower) Instrument signal in/out will also be on the outside of the case with a master bypass (lower right corner). The case arrived this week, and I'm still awaiting the BMS and a few other parts, but hopefully things will be completed by the end of next week. The final layout may include a Demeter Compulator or Guyatone MD3.

It really depends what you mean by good. It feels like theres a bit of low end loss except when the gain is absolutely cranked, and you play harder, but it could just be relative as theres so much added to the highs... I think that it has limited applicability on its own, but gets realy versitile depending on what you're playing it through. It's a bit crazier on the guitar which is good or bad depending on how you look at it (or I just haven't hit the right settings yet. Throwing the trem before it does some cool stuff to it as they suggest on the website... I dunno...

Thanks. Well, I haven't tried too many fuzz units. Had a Big Muff (NYC), Boss Hyper Fuzz & tried a friend's Wooly Mammoth. None of them really seemed to mate well with my active basses. The Guyatone however was just perfect to my (and my bandmates') ears. Gobs of heavy fuzz plus it has a sweet, somewhat subtle octave as I play higher up on the neck. Not sure, but I hear it compares to an Octavia. I love it on it's own and when combined with the wah. When engaged with the phase, It sounds like molten hell :bassist: I see myself with it for a long time.

I'm sure I will eventually, but it'll be a month or so until then. I'm in the process of looking for a new PC that I can use for recording only. I just got a couple of new cabs recently. Now that's out of the way so I can dedicate some money to putting the DAW together. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

That's curious. I've heard it and the Zoom Utrafuzz described as a "poor man's" Wooly Mammoth.
